THOUSAND WATT STARE PREMIERE NEW VIDEO FOR “MESSENGER”
So-Cal rock band Thousand Watt Stare has premiered a brand new video for their heavy hitting anthem, “Messenger”.  The song is featured on the band’s recently released album, Silver Dimes, which is available now from Hardline Entertainment Store. Download two free songs from Thousand Watt Stares as well as many other Hardline artists in The Free Download section.

Fronted by guitarist Christian Martucci, who’s performed with rock greats like Corey Taylor (Slipknot) and Dee Dee Ramone (Ramones), along with drummer Dylan Howard (Unwritten Law) and bassist Pat Kim, Thousand Watt Stare got their start in 2010 with the release of their debut EP and never slowed down from there.

After sell-out dates along the West Coast and the addition of guitarist Trevor Howard, Thousand Watt Stare returned to the studio in 2011 to record their debut full-length album Silver Dimes, which transcended the previous EP, carrying the band out of their comfortable punk-influenced rock ‘n’ roll into a deeper and darker territory.

“I’ve been in a few bands over the years that were expected to sound a certain way and it just never made me happy,” says Martucci.  “It’s all about feel…  That’s the thing that makes this band special to us.  There are no rules.”

Thousand Watt Stare’s Silver Dimes is available now from Hardline Entertainment.

Yotam Ben-Horin Signs to Hardline

Yotam Ben-Horin

HARDLINE ENTERTAINMENT SIGNS SINGER-SONGWRITER YOTAM BEN-HORIN Useless ID (Fat Wreck Chords) Frontman to Release Debut Solo Album, Distant Lover, October 3, 2012

Los Angeles – August 21, 2012 – Southern California-based record label and artist management company Hardline Entertainment today announced that Useless ID frontman Yotam Ben-Horin has joined the Hardline family as a solo artist. Yotam adds his personal, lyrical songwriting style to the already diverse Hardline roster, which includes Death By Stereo, Authority Zero, the Darlings, Allura, Hoist the Colors, and more.

Best known as the lead singer, bass player, and primary songwriter for Israeli punk band Useless ID (Fat Wreck Chords), Ben-Horin has constructed a quiet set of brand new musical gems, entirely produced and arranged by himself. His debut solo full length – entitled “Distant Lover” – was mixed by AJ Mogis (Bright Eyes, Cursive) and mastered by Doug Van Sloun, and is scheduled for an October 3 release.

“I couldn’t be happier to be working with Hardline to release this record,” said Ben Horin. “My solo material gives me another artistic outlet to explore new musical territory and emotional depth. With Hardline’s support, I’m ready to share these songs with the world.”

“Yotam has already written countless great songs for Useless ID,” said Hardline Entertainment’s Ken Seaton. “As a solo artist, Yotam brings something utterly unique to the Hardline roster.”

With his personal lyrics, haunting melodies, pop sensibilities, and stripped down arrangements, Ben-Horin’s solo material has drawn comparisons to Elliott Smith, Brian Wilson, and Death Cab for Cutie. Armed with a six string in his hand, Ben-Horin has put together an epic trio in support of his new works. Touring plans are in the works.

While they wait for the full release in October, fans can listen to the first single “Into The Blues” on Hardline’s SoundCloud http://soundcloud.com/hardlineent/yotam-ben-horin-into-the-blues.

Death By Stereo Signs With Viking Funeral Records

Orange County, CA hardcore punk veterans Death By Stereo have announced they have signed with Viking Funeral Records, the label founded by Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge, Ken Seaton of Hardline Entertainment, and Suburban Noize Records. Death By Stereo’s sixth full-length studio album, “Black Sheep of the American Dream”, is set for a spring 2012 release.

“I am personally proud to be a part of Viking Funeral because Fletcher, Ken Seaton and the whole Suburban Noize family have the same DIY, never back down mentality that we have. Viking Funeral is a perfect home for us, as we’ve seen how labels work and the majority of them are more interested in making a quick buck instead of developing an artist that puts out great records,” commented Efrem Shulz from Death By Stereo. “Working with Viking Funeral brings us back to our early days in the hardcore and punk-rock scenes that birthed us, because they care about the music rather than what’s trendy. This record is a return to our roots and with the addition of our original bass player Paul Miner as producer we have re-established our signature sound and we managed to forge a new sonic path for Death by Stereo. Every individual in the band is excited to continue to shed light on the issues affecting our world and we plan to storm the globe with this record!”

Balancing chaos and consciousness is no easy task, and few bands will ever do it as well as Death By Stereo. Born in the same Orange County, CA scene that propelled bands like Throwdown, Eighteen Visions and Avenged Sevenfold into the national limelight, Death By Stereo have unleashed some classic hardcore punk-rock records over their 14 year career including 2001’s “Day of the Death” and 2003’s “Into the Valley of the Death”. The band’s relentless tour schedule has saw them tour alongside legendary groups like AFI, Sick Of It All, Rise Against, Thursday and the Vans Warped Tour, while earning a die-hard fan base across the globe.

On their new album “Black Sheep of the American Dream”, Death By Stereo have elevated their brand of conscious, politically charged hardcore punk-rock to the next level. Storming out of the gate harder, faster and louder than they ever have, the band has returned to their hardcore punk roots, and peppered their sound with crushing metal breakdowns and blazing guitar solos to create their most socially relevant and impassioned album to date. Attacking the system with a sonic barrage that only Death By Stereo can deliver, “Black Sheep of the American Dream” is a call to arms for the disenfranchised to stand up and fight back against a corrupt administration.

Death By Stereo will be direct support for Agnostic Front’s Hardcore Worldwide European tour with Naysayer throughout February.
