Mesa rock band Authority Zero has premiered a new video for their current single, “Today We Heard The News,” at ArtistDirect.com. The track is featured on the band’s recently released album, The Tipping Point, which is available now at iTunes and from their record label Hardline Entertainment.

Authority Zero’s latest single from The Tipping Point is an alternative rock radio ready anthem that incorporates the band’s unique influences of reggae, rock and punk. The new video follows the band up the coast of California, stopping to pay tribute to Sublime’s Bradley Nowell along the way, for an epic beach party jam session.
A staple in the West Coast punk rock scene for almost two decades, Authority Zero’s latest effort was produced by Cameron Webb (Pennywise, Social Distortion, Motorhead) at Maple Studios in Orange County, and showcases the band’s unique blend of punk rock, rock ‘n’ roll and reggae on twelve high energy tracks like “No Other Place,” “21st Century Breakout” and “Today We Heard The News.”

The band’s new track, “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” a confectious song about not dwelling on what others think, reveals NEO GEO’s secret weapon, their inimitable singer Rainy Terrell. Having studied voice, opera and piano since she was six years old, Terrell bares a phenomenal vocal range that pares with their electronic-tinged riffs brilliantly.
Formed in 2008, the upstart five-piece from Fullerton, CA has been making waves with their uniquely refreshing infusion of electronic, pop-rock and pop-punk for the last several years. Led by the stunningly talented songstress Rainy Terrell and keyboardist Ryan Walter, NEO GEO, which means new earth, were named for the band’s eclectic attitude towards their sound and their member’s diverse backgrounds and musical influences.
On the band’s sophomore album, Digital DNA, NEO GEO make a play for pop-stardom with 11 tracks that have all the catchiness of any super-produced Top 40 hit on the airwaves today. Japanese Ska-Punk Band HEY-SMITH Joins Hardline!
[fblike] Hermosa Beach independent record label Hardline Entertainment is proud to welcome Japanese ska punk band HEY-SMITH to the label’s growing roster of bands that includes Authority Zero, Neo Geo, Nations Afire, The Darlings, Hoist The Colors, Death By Stereo, Versus The World among many others. The label has just released the bands 2010 studio full-length in the states titled “14-Fourteen”, which debuted on the Oricon indie chart at #6.
Hailing from Osaka, Japan, HEY-SMITH are an exciting ska punk band that meld a molotov-cocktail of punk rock, ska, reggae and metal for a unique sound that has everyone talking. HEY-SMITH performed live for the first time in 2006 and by the following year were already touring with bands’ like Authority Zero and Freygolo in Japan.
HEY-SMITH went on to perform at FUJI ROCK and on tours with Less Than Jake in Japan and released their long-awaited second studio album, Free Your Mind, in 2011, which reached #1 on the indie charts. Later that year the band made their first U.S. appearance at The Fest in Gainesville, FL. Now known around the world, HEY-SMITH’s eclectic style and high-energy punk shows have helped the band build a global audience and In 2012, they found themselves back at FUJI Rock and later at RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL and finally opening for The Offspring in Japan.

Named one of Alternative Press’ “100 Bands You Need To Know” for 2013, Hoist The Colors is a seven piece melting pot of music and culture from Los Angeles. Armed with mandolins, banjos, guitars, drums and fiddles, the band’s unique amalgam of punk rock, traditional Irish music, American folk and bluegrass is upbeat and refreshing.
Hoist the Colors got their start when singer/songwriter Josh Linden started learning Irish rebel songs and Pogues covers on a bunch of instruments they didn’t really even know how to play. That was 2007. ”Pick Up The Pieces” is a song written about the domestic violence in our communities, in our neighborhood, in our homes,” vocalist Nik Hill tells Artist Direct.com. “It is an isolating experience and the lyrics are meant to empower and shine a light on this issue, to prove that we cannot be broken by these things, by our pasts and more importantly to say something now, help each other get out of these violent surroundings. Turning victims into heroes, and giving voices to those too afraid to speak up.”

THE DARLINGS Japan Tour Announced!

The Darlings are dedicated to staying true to the roots of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Country and Americana. Founded in 2005 The Darlings have already hit the stage with such legendary acts as Pennywise, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Youth Brigade, TSOL, Jason Cruz and Howl, Strung Out, Face to Face, Sum 41, and the Circle Jerks to just name a few. The Darlings are now set to embark on their first tour of Japan this July in support of their latest release “The New Escape”.
The greatest drive for the band is creating an Organic, Soulful, Hard Rock sound without relying on auto tune/ pro tools alterations. The New Escape is their full length debut, which has gotten a lot of attention in their native land of Los Angeles.
