“So yea we finally captured live which a lot of people claim sounds better than our studio recordings. I believe the stage is sacred place where the soul is bared, dancing and singing are forged together to make human organic splendor… Energy absorbed from the crowd ain’t nothin to sneeze at.. One take, one band, one record.”
The Darlings are four west coast rock n rollers with a vintage modern attack and down home southern roots. Formed in 2005 by Buddy Darling (singer/guitar) and Chris Kranes (bass) in Redondo Beach CA.
The Darlings continue to respectfully nod to their deep retro-fittings, but effortlessly draw their listeners into uncharted territory; the aromatic essence of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Blues, Punk and Americana that seeps from their sound, seems to have been simmering in a crock-pot full of Black Sabbath’s insidious darkness and Chuck Berry’s dexterous swagger.
The Old House Sessions were recorded live in a 1920’s historic home in Fullerton CA. Filmed and edited by Steve Guerrero Burning Rose Studios. “Mr. Morgan Crow” performed live by Buddy Darling, is a stand out track from The Darlings latest record “Made of Phantoms”.

YOTAM’s video is live for “Tony Sly” off “California Sounds”.
“My friend Kevin who is doing a book in tribute for Tony Sly mentioned that a friend of his Steven Guerrero would be interested in possibly doing a video for my song “Tony Sly” off of California Sounds (Hardline Entertainment). I put him in touch with label owner Ken Seaton and they both set up a 7 am shooting at 3rd Street Tattoo in Hermosa Beach which Fletcher from Pennywise is a part owner of. Luckily I was just done with a 2 month tour and in the area. I didn’t sleep much the night before. We ended up shooting a few takes and that was it. The setting, the hour and Steve’s camera action made everything seem right.
I learned alot from Tony Sly over the years when my band Useless ID toured with No Use For A Name and when I worked with Tony on songs so this song is my thank you to Tony who shaped me musically from the first time I heard No Use so many years ago.”

YOTAM is presently on tour in Europe with Joey Cape of Lagwagon.
We are extremely excited to add this amazing pop-punk trio to our roster!

“Damage Control” is taken from the British three piece’s 4th studio album “New Horizons” recorded in Los Angeles, and released by LA based Hardline Entertainment.
“The song itself is about capitalising on bad situations and using them as a benefit, coming out of that limbo space, as well as being in control of of your own destiny. It is based on a real experience from us during the album previous to “New Horizons” and issues we were going through within the industry at the time, and people in our inner circle no less.
We felt like a lot of control had been taken from us and we weren’t represented how we wanted to be, things very nearly came to a head and a lot of negative things came from it, but we started writing this album which helped the situation and ultimately gave us some great songs with depth. But like most things in life this can be applied to anything.”
